I have been to Las Vegas once a year in April for 30 years for the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) convention and always loved this town. The weather was mostly in the 60's to 70's with occasional year's in the 50's. A far cry from this summers visit experience.

Thursday 17th of July we arrived in Las Vegas early to beat the desert heat driving from Kanab, UT after visiting "Best Friends Animal Rescue Sanctuary". What a place even if you are not an animal lover, you will appreciate their work saving animals

Here we come Las Vegas!

:

We checked into the Oasis RV Park, a beautiful RV resort with several pools, a state-of-the-art gym, restaurants, etc.  We were looking forward to three or four days in a gorgeous, relaxing place.  We lasted one hour. The heat was unbearable!  106 degrees is outside our comfort zone.  The woman behind the reception desk said "This isn't hot to us! Normally, this time of year it's 115/116 degrees"  So we checked into a hotel and left at dawn.

On to LA to see AJ!
