New Orleans

New Orleans French Quarter

Pharmacy museum

The National WWII museum

The National WWII museum was really amazing and educational. There was an unbelievable film narrated by Tom Hanks "Beyond Boundaries" that really described the war and the allies with clarity that every high school student should view.

New Orleans Cemeteries

New Orleans cemeteries are not traditional below ground burials Burials are above ground in tombs because the water table is low and floods are common. Shockingly, we learned that 100 people could be buried in the same tomb.Yes, that is correct.

The coffin is placed on the top shelf. After a year and a day the decomposed body  in the coffin is removed
and stuffed into the bottom shelf where as many as 100 bodies could be put in the bottom tier.
The coffin is discarded and a new coffin with the recent deceased is placed in the top shelf.
